Welcoming Party!!!

Hai… to all our dear members!

Please be informed that Nihon No Sekai club will be having a welcoming
party for new members together with members gathering on,

Date : 27/3/2009 (Friday)
Venue: MPH1 (Second Floor exam hall)
Time : 12pm to 2pm


All members are encourage to join the meeting as a few important
future events of the club will be discuss in the meeting.

Please come in for last minute register if you are interested in
Japanese language class and have not register with the committee.

Those who are interested in joining the “IMU Comic Fiesta” as part of
the committees, you are ‘needed’ in the meeting.

Last call for Japanese Class!

TO all Nihon No Sekai members!
This is the last call for you all to sign up and join the Japanese Language Class!

The class will be start on April:
Day: Monday
Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Fees: RM35 per month (members)
RM40 per month (non-members)
Duration: About 4 months
Learn: Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking basic

Bibliography (Mr Edward)

An MBA holder on Human Resource Development, Edward LEE has been teaching Japanese language and culture to adult learners since 1984. He has taught classes ranging from basic to advanced level. While at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), he helped established its Japanese Language Training Unit and has developed several Japanese language courses specifically to meet the needs of government officers. He also co-wrote several Japanese language textbooks used in these courses.


He left INTAN in 1994 and was invited to join a Japanese non-profit making organization to help establish its Japanese Language Centre. As part of the Japanese government effort in promoting international understanding and intensifying cultural exchange between Japan and overseas countries, the Centre was entrusted the role to provide support to the development of Japanese language education in Malaysia. He works very closely with the Ministry of Education Malaysia, the Public Service Department Malaysia, local universities and schools as well as related organizations in support for the development of their Japanese language teachers and courses. He is one of the advisors to the Ministry's current project on the development of a new Japanese Language syllabus and textbook for secondary schools in Malaysia. He was also part of the team in developing the syllabus for the 'Teaching of Japanese as a Foreign Language' Program at a local teacher training college.


LEE also volunteers his services to the Japanese Language Society of Malaysia. He is its current President and oversees not only the management and development of its Japanese language curriculum and courses, but also its overall management and cultural activities.
